In the K-12 data management marketplace, this new partnership is a game changer.

Edupoint Educational Systems (Edupoint) and Weidenhammer Systems Corporation (Weidenhammer) today jointly announced their new reseller partnership which allows Weidenhammer to resell, implement and support Edupoint’s GENESIS™ K-12 student information system (SIS) and GENESEA™ special education data management solutions in 24 states across the United States.

“Weidenhammer is very pleased to partner with such an accomplished K-12 software solution provider like Edupoint,” said John P. Weidenhammer, President of Weidenhammer. “After our exhaustive, industry-wide review of all SIS products available on the market today, we selected Edupoint because their technology solutions were not only the best in class across all categories, they also met our extensive list of SIS functionality and technology requirements, including infinite scalability.

“After reviewing all of the facts, making the decision to partner with Edupoint was simple.”

A Student Information System is used by virtually every K-12 school district across the United States to efficiently manage all aspects of student and district data, from enrollment to attendance tracking to grading and class scheduling. An SIS, like GENESIS, also provides detailed, integrated state reporting data based upon state-specific criteria, which in turn is reported to the state and serves as a benchmark for school funding. As part of this new partnership, Weidenhammer will create the necessary state-specific reporting capabilities required as GENESIS is introduced into new states.

“Strategically, aligning Edupoint with Weidenhammer and their Certified Business Associate Network to resell, implement and support our industry-leading K-12 data management systems opens a whole new world of possibilities at Edupoint,” said Robert Weathers, Founder and Chairman of Edupoint Educational Systems. "Combining the strength of our software solutions with Weidenhammer’s experienced K-12 professional service and support teams is a great thing for the thousands of schools and millions of students we currently serve, and will serve in the future.

“In the K-12 data management marketplace, this new partnership is a game changer.”

The Weidenhammer and Edupoint reseller agreement means effective this month, the full suite of Edupoint’s K-12 data management solutions will be available in Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Utah, Wisconsin and Wyoming, in addition to Arizona, California, Georgia, Minnesota, New Mexico and Virginia, where Edupoint already has an expanding customer base.

Another major component of this partnership will be the integration of Weidenhammer’s alio school financial and HR/payroll software with Edupoint’s GENESIS SIS, which will allow both new and prospective customers to benefit from the combined strength of the alio/GENESIS solutions, and one integrated interface.

These technical integrations are a reflection of the deeper, corporate synergies that position both Weidenhammer and Edupoint for future growth in the K-12 student data management marketplace.

“At Weidenhammer, we felt very strongly that we needed an SIS solution partner whose vision and corporate philosophy matched ours more closely, and Edupoint was a natural fit,” said Weidenhammer. “Both companies share a student-first vision and strive to deliver exceptional customer service for our partner districts, and this agreement paves the way for exponential growth for both organizations.”
