Pismo Beach, California (PRWEB) May 13, 2011
Excitement is building at Pismo Coast Village RV Resort in Pismo Beach, CA (http://www.PismoCoastVillage.com) as they prepare to host the 4th Annual Trail Along To Pismo Vintage Trailer Rally May 19-22, 2011.
"It's been several years since we filmed at Pismo Coast Village", says Mark Summers, Executive Producer of RV Buddies. "We've been looking forward to coming back, and this is just the excuse we were looking for." Lance Campers (http://www.LanceCampers.com) has provided their top-of-the-line 1181 truck camper for cast and crew to use for base of operations.
The event sold the 250 allocated sites in four days and there is a substantial waiting list. This year's event expects over 40 1948-1968 iconic Airstream trailers, numerous circa 40's, 50's, and 60's Boles Aero, Shasta, Cardinal, Kenskill, Silver Streak, and Vagabond just to name a few.
Last year there were five units from the 1930's. In addition, many of the units are towed with vintage vehicles such as 1946 and 1950 Hudson pick-ups, 1952 Willys Wagon, and numerous Woody wagons.
Pismo Coast Village's General Manager Jay Jamison shared that "You can't help but appreciate the passion, enthusiasm, and pride these trailer owners have for their vintage trailers. They work hard to restore them and travel to rallys such as this. They love to talk about them and show them off. Many own more than one. We are excited to welcome them back again this year."
Summers adds, "It will be nice to see some completed restorations given how much time is going into our GMC Project RV!"
The rally participants have planned activities such as bowling tournaments, kite flying, movie night, a night at the Melodrama, group meals and socials. The highlight of the event will be the open house on Saturday May 21, from 10 am to 3 pm where all the units will be decorated inside and out in vintage themes. The public is invited to attend this fun event at no charge, however, parking will not be available within the resort. Parking is available in the Addie Street parking lot a short walking distance from the resort.
