About the Author
Tony Fielding was born on New Year’s Day in 1940. He lived all his life in Wallasey, Merseyside. He went to St George’s Secondary Modern School, where he became a youth leader and a member of the Wallasey Youth Council. He became a member of Wallasey Rugby Club in 1959 where he held many of the voluntary secretary’s positions. He had the pleasure of being a Quiz Master for thirty-five years. He had no interest in poetry until November 2008, when his brother Harry (Bunny) reached his 80th birthday. Writing a poem for him based on one printed in a Japanese prisoner of war magazine started off a chain reaction of all his own poems.
