Sea-Alliance Group (SAG), the international maritime business, is undergoing significant growth and is now extending its offering to include Crew Recruitment as one of its many professional services.

As a full-service management company we understand that having the right crew onboard is imperative for the successful day-to-day running of a yacht.

The company, which provides leading services in yacht sales and purchase, new construction and technical management, yacht management, charters, marina management and marine projects, has added this new service as it expands the scope of its management solutions in reaction to demand from its growing customer base.

The SAG Crew Recruitment division will be headed up by Jennifer Thomson, Sea-Alliance Group’s representative from the south of France. The company will use its professional contacts and experience of crew recruitment to create the new division, to which individuals seeking roles such as captains, deck hands, service staff, chefs, and yacht engineers will be encouraged to sign up.

Itay Singer, Director of Sea-Alliance Group, said: “As a busy yacht management company we are often coming into contact with well qualified and experienced crew, and already place all our own crew on board our managed vessels. Therefore, it was a natural progression to expand into offering this service for yachts and captains outside of our management fleet.”

We also know that the person who may appear like the best fit on paper is not always the right choice for any one boat, and therefore we interview all our candidates in person and verify references ourselves. New construction

A dedicated on-site project manager is assigned to each construction and because the smallest issue can have far-reaching effects on the yacht’s cost, quality and performance, SAG closely monitors every stage of the build process.

Yacht management
SAG’s yacht management division deals with every aspect of a yacht’s systems, logistics, crew and finance. This is a service which is provided for yachts of all sizes, whether private or commercial. The company can also supervise the construction of a number of yachts, and this currently includes several mega yachts being built by leading European shipyards.

Marinas and marine projects
SAG acts as a consultant for the construction of marinas, as well as seafront tourist and real estate projects. Providing a full range of commercial/professional services such as feasibility studies, consultancy, business and marketing plans, the team can offer full marina management services and can also restructure existing marinas to meet with current and future needs.

Technical services
SAG’s Technical Services department deals with issues including safety management systems and international safety management (ISM) issues. Also its team liaises with suppliers, collecting quotations from various yards for any maintenance work that needs to be done on a vessel, deals with re-painting, engine room works, any structural modifications to the boats, audio visual systems updates, and liaises with the Captain of the boat to ensure the vessel is maintained to the highest standards.

Crew Recruitment
SAG offers a Crew Recruitment service which uses its professional contacts and experience of crew recruitment place to place individuals, including captains, deck hands, service staff, chefs and yacht engineers, into the most suitable role for them based on their preferences, personalities and aspirations.
