Top Social Networking Resource Launches Viral Video Contest (Featuring NBA Star Stephen Curry)

Today Amzini, the web's premier resource to find and compare social networks, is launching the video contest "There's a Social Network for That?". The introduction for the contest is a unique film put together by former Davidson College teammates Daniel Nelms (Founder, Amzini), Stephen Curry (PG, Golden State Warriors), and Steve Rossiter (NYC Strength Trainer)

What if the introduction to a video contest was the video that people were excited to share? When Amzini ( set out to help people discover the best social networks for his/her needs, they knew they would first have to help people understand just how much variation and depth there is in the social networking industry.

Today Amzini is launching the video contest "There's a Social Network for That?" to achieve this goal. The introduction video was designed to be entertaining and shared across the social web, with the goal of creating awareness and inspiring people to participate by submitting their own video.

The introduction stars NBA sharpshooter Stephen Curry along with his former Davidson College teammate Steve Rossiter. The duo is backed by 20 guest actors that were selected from several hundred responses to a single tweet Stephen sent out in January:

"Hey I'm shooting a fun YouTube video in SF and Oakland this week. Looking for guest actors to help out."

Video Submission Process:

Submissions will be accepted at between 5/16/2011 and 7/16/2011. Amzini will upload all eligible videos to Youtube via the 'AmziniVideos' channel. Following this period, the top ten submissions will enter a 'vote-off' to be held at between 7/21/2011 and 7/31/2011. Three cash prizes will be awarded to winners in the amount of $1000, $500, and $250.
