Interactive Entertainment Industry Veteran Bernard Stolar Joins The Method’s Board of Advisors

The Method, a premiere global developer of games for social networks, today announced that industry veteran Bernard Stolar has joined the company's Board of Directors. Founded in 2005, The Method leads the gaming industry with deep technology expertise and is committed to creating the highest quality, most compelling social gaming experience, utilizing the company’s proprietary end-to-end technology platform to create, convert and monetize user engagement.

Mr. Stolar has more than 30 years of experience in the interactive entertainment industry and is well-known for his leading roles at several of the industry’s groundbreaking companies. He was executive vice president of Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) and counts the launch of the PlayStation platform as one of his many successes there. He also served as president of Sega of America, where during his tenure the very popular Dreamcast platform was brought to market. During his extensive career, Mr. Stolar also served as president of Mattel Interactive where he was responsible for all of Mattel’s software and computer-enhanced toys. He then became CEO of AdScape Media, an in-game advertiser, which was bought by Google in 2007. At Google, Mr. Stolar took on the role of Games Industry Evangelist where he led all in-game advertising initiatives.
