Sunday Drive’s new version is now world class and worldwide.

Yearning for something new and exciting and find yourself still searching for an app to show you a path to discovery?

Version 2.6.3 of Sunday Drive, the iPhone app for drivers, adventurers and explorers, is now available on iTunes or by logging on to This new version, developed in collaboration with the U.K.-based and ground-breaking design firm of Turned on Digital (, includes a host of new features that have resulted in more robust functionality and a greatly improved user experience. These features include: Facebook Check-Ins and status updates, seamless Twitter integration, a new and more intuitive user interface, improved ease of drive browsing, easier drive creation—via the user’s Facebook account--and more. These improvements, coupled with a new ability to access and create drivable routes world-wide rather than just in North America, help to catapult Sunday Drive into the forefront of location-based mobile apps.

Already named one of the top ten tour apps by Travel + Leisure magazine, the Sunday Drive app has raised the bar for other touring-based apps with this update. Anyone looking to explore their surroundings, whether at home or while traveling, will find valuable information about nearby attractions and hidden gems just by going to iTunes and downloading the free Sunday Drive app onto their iPhone. And travelers of the armchair kind can now browse Sunday Drive’s entire—and ever-expanding—database of user- and staff-generated routes without leaving the house. Users can now browse routes across the nation, get previews, and experience places they’ve never been to in a new way. Additionally, sharing routes with others is now much easier, and of course, Sunday Drive’s new app allows for greater social media interaction as users can now check-in at various points of interest via the app’s new Facebook integration.

One of the most important upgrades is the record function, which effectively allows you to log your road trip as you drive, check out points of interest and share your experience along the way. Jason Scott, founder and CEO of Sunday Drive, LLC, had this advice for users: “If you’re planning a summer road trip or even considering a daytrip with the family, be sure to record your route and plan to submit after Memorial Day weekend”. Asked why people should wait to submit their routes until after the holiday he had this to say “Think ‘Great American Roadtrip’ with a grand prize your family will never forget”. According to Jason, more details will be announced soon.
