According to Portrait Magazine, almost 33% of the cases of animal cruelty reported in the U.S. were of the neglect/abandonment variety. In The Puppies Find a Home (published by AuthorHouse), author Helene DuGahl tells a heartwarming story about the rescue and adoption of a family of puppies.

The Puppies Find a Home tells the true story of DuGahl’s friend Millie who heard the whimpers of a family of dogs one cold, dark night in January. Looking over the fence she realized there were nine of them. Concerned with their health, she knocked on the neighbor’s door to see if she could take them home with her. The woman who answered was very gruff and told her she didn’t care and to go away. Determined, Millie knew she had to save the dogs.

“All the characters are important because we cared about the puppies and helped Millie with feeding these tiny little puppies,” says DuGahl, “The experience was so beautiful and precious.”

The Puppies Find a Home will touch reader’s hearts as DuGahl tells a story about the loving, caring and nurturing of her new canine friends that is perfect for children and dog lovers alike.
