SEAL Innotech, a leading provider of cloud-based enterprise mobility solutions, announced today the 2.0 launch of appsFreedom™ at the 2011 SAPPHIRE NOW event. appsFreedom is the company’s new suite of packaged, pre-integrated apps designed to bring speed and mobility to enterprise applications such as SAP.

The appsFreedom suite consists of a variety of single-task, secure apps that can be implemented individually or bundled to simplify and optimize access into specific SAP environments. The suite includes CRM, procurement, workflow and analytics. The company is also actively working on apps for other common SAP system functions and user types.

SEAL Innotech has a number of enterprise clients currently on the appsFreedom 1.0 platform, and has a queue of new pilot engagements scheduled for the 2.0 version.

Rapid Deployment
The appsFreedom 2.0 suite is SAP-certified and pre-integrated, thus requiring no development time or system configuration. The solution is offered as a ‘mobility as a service’ model with subscription-based pricing and hosted in a cloud environment, so no hardware or servers are required. This model, along with the simplicity and speed of updates through the major App Stores, allow for rapid solution deployment (typically a few weeks), in addition to simplified maintenance and user management.

Device Agnostic
The micro-apps use SEAL Innotech’s proprietary technology platform, Single Sign-On technology and a secure tunneling framework to give business users the ability to access and transact in SAP environments from any Internet-enabled desktop or mobile device. Devices and computers supported include smart-phones (e.g. iPhone, BlackBerry, Android), tablets (e.g. iPad, Galaxy, PlayBook) as well as laptops. No system data is stored on the devices, helping clients meet corporate IT security guidelines.

This “device agnostic” approach gives customers the flexibility to use existing computers and mobile devices, or to launch the apps on newer platforms in conjunction with upgrades and scheduled technology rollouts.

“We’re excited that the appsFreedom suite is bringing the speed and simplicity of a consumer app to the enterprise application world,” commented Vaidy Iyer, CEO of SEAL Innotech. “With such a fast deployment time, no up-front costs and easy deployment across so many device types, appsFreedom is poised to truly change the mobility game for both business and IT users.”
