Animal Shelters Get Revenue Boost From New Source

Share Article donates proceeds to non-profit animal shelters, charities and foundations.

Home foreclosures and the bleak job market have taken a toll on pets as well as their care providers. As families downsize or move in with friends and relatives, they are often faced with horrendous decisions: abandon pets, hand them over to shelters or euthanize them. This trend has put tremendous strain on the already low-funded animal shelters, charities and foundations.

“No one can solve this alone,” said Carol Hovsepian, co-founder of “It became very clear to us at Fabby Wabby Pets that we have to step up to the challenge and become part of the solution. It’s our social responsibility.”

Fabby Wabby Pets™ has created a simple online registration process whereby non-profits focused on health and wellbeing of animals can be matched with a donation. Online customers will be able to select the non-profit organization which will automatically receive funds generated by the customer’s purchase.

“It’s a great way to bring donations and non-profits together,” said Hovsepian. “And non-profits can use this tool as a launching pad for additional fundraising programs. I must add that one of the best things about this program is that it is very light-lifting for the non-profits so they can continue to focus on what they do best – the saving and caring of pets.”

About Fabby Wabby Pets: Founded in 2010, Fabby Wabby Pets offers a variety of products and programs that support the wellbeing of animals and their caregivers, including their most popular product, My ePet Plan™.
