Revolutions Inc. and its flagship website SpinLife today announced that CEO and Founder Lisa Stein is an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2011 South Central Ohio & Kentucky Award finalist.

According to Ernst & Young LLP, the awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Stein was selected as a finalist from nearly 100 nominations by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on June 30, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati.

“I am honored to be recognized for such a prestigious award," said Stein. “My goal from day one was to redefine our industry by building a company focused on the consumer’s needs, not the payer. In doing so we have created the lowest cost delivery model while increasing product awareness and thereby meaningfully impacting how our entire industry is structured. The really exciting thing for us is that we still feel like we are just getting started. Backed by my exceptional team, we continue to see nothing but opportunity and growth ahead.”

Today Revolutions runs 10 websites in the durable medical equipment industry, including its flagship site, Spinlife.com. Presently, Revolutions is the largest Internet retailer of durable medical equipment. Stein founded the companies in 1999, running an on-line home medical equipment company out of her Columbus, Ohio basement. 12 years later Revolutions continues to grow at record speed and is widely recognized as the industry leader for DME retail.

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Program celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. The program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 140 cities and more than 50 countries throughout the world.

Regional award winners are eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Award. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the Entrepreneur Of The Year overall National Award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 12, 2011. The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum®, the nation’s most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies, which will be held November 9–13, 2011.

About Revolutions Inc.
Revolutions Inc. was founded in 1997 when Ms. Stein purchased Product Professionals, a wholesale firm serving the DME provider industry. SpinLife, Revolutions’ primary internet site, was developed in 1999 to offer the same product categories directly to the consumer, and quickly achieved market dominance. Revolutions continues that market dominance today, and is larger than their nearest competitor by a factor of at least 2x.

Revolutions achieved market dominance through early entry into the marketplace and a focus on proprietary technology. Technology investments allow the websites to offer detailed and dynamic product information, complex product configuration, tightly controlled management of the Internet marketing expenses and their relative ROI, and the sales funnel from Internet search through to acquisition. SpinLife was the first in their category to offer customer-only product reviews, online configuration, and fabric swatching. In addition, technology also plays a meaningful and ongoing role in order management, through a proprietary Order Management System that makes Revolutions the most efficient DME dealer in the country.

Revolution’s most recent product offering is The Respiratory Store, offering portable oxygen concentrators and other respiratory equipment. This site joins the 9 other specialty sites of the Silver NetStores division, including Scooter.com, LiftChairs.com, and Scooterville.com.
