“Ryan’s broad experience in the financial services industry combined with his communications background will help us expand our presence and effectively convey our message to existing and prospective members,”
Denver, CO (PRWEB) May 13, 2011
Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA®) today announced Ryan Hoffman joined the organization as communications and public relations manager. In this role, he will oversee media relations and stakeholder communications in addition to serving as primary content manager for the association’s website. Hoffman will work closely with Ian MacKenzie, IMCA’s deputy executive director of operations, in enhancing brand awareness and media coverage.
“Ryan’s broad experience in the financial services industry combined with his communications background will help us expand our presence and effectively convey our message to existing and prospective members,” MacKenzie said. “Communicating the benefits of IMCA membership and designations is a key component of our growth strategy, and we look forward to his contributions.”
“I am excited to be joining a respected association that betters the financial industry by providing highly regarded credentials and educational resources,” Hoffman said. “My goal is to help fuel continued growth for the organization by sharing the IMCA story with key stakeholders.”
Before joining IMCA, Hoffman served in three communications and marketing roles at Transamerica for more than six years. Prior to that time, he worked in investor communications at Janus Capital Group. Hoffman earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism and technical communication from Colorado State University.
Hoffman’s hiring comes in the wake of IMCA’s Certified Investment Management AnalystSM (CIMA®) credential earning accreditation by the American National Standards Institute® in April. CIMA is the first internationally accredited financial services certification in the United States. IMCA invested significant resources over a four-year period to tailor its certification processes, governance, examinations, and requirements to meet the rigorous standards of the international standard for personnel certification.
Based in Denver, IMCA was established in 1985 to deliver the premier investment consulting and wealth management credentials and world-class educational offerings—membership, conferences, research, and publications. The cornerstone of IMCA is the CERTIFIED INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT ANALYSTSM or CIMA® certification, the only advanced certification designed specifically for investment consultants. IMCA also delivers the advanced credential for wealth management professionals working with high-net-worth clients, the CERTIFIED PRIVATE WEALTH ADVISOR® or CPWA® designation.
