Ehline warns that new motorcyclists to the Sturgis Rally might find it difficult to find sleeping accommodations

The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota is one of the largest rallies held in the United States and has been held the first full week of August since the first rally held August 14, 1938, according to motorcycle attorney, Michael Ehline. Ehline says that the the first rally consisted of one race with nine participants and a small audience and was named the “Black Hills Classic.”
The rally has been held every year with the exception of during World War II in 1942, when there was gasoline rationing and has grown through the years, from a small gathering to hundreds of thousands of motorcyclists attending says Ehline.
