Lista International Corporation announces its CEO, Peter Lariviere, will present on lean manufacturing at EASTEC 2011. The presentation, which describes how Lista used its own storage and workstation solutions to reduce waste and turnaround times, will occur May 17 from 4:15pm to 4:45pm. For an introduction to lean manufacturing concepts and an overview of the presentation, please view a new vodcast at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fCr67d4UJI.
Lista streamlined its manufacturing process using lean manufacturing principles, steadily reducing its turnaround time from more than two weeks to five business days for many products. The vodcast describes how the company’s own products were used to achieve these results. Lista’s cabinets and workbenches provide organized storage, allowing for easy material identification and inventory assessment. This eliminates waste and reduces the company’s manufacturing footprint.
The vodcast then explains the concept of 5S workplace organization methods, which aim to reduce waste and optimize productivity by maintaining an orderly workplace and using visual cues to achieve more consistent operational results. Lista’s storage cabinets, workbenches and modular drawer solutions make it simple to compartmentalize drawers and ensure every component can be located in its own distinct place.
The vodcast also discusses the different products Lista will display in EASTEC booth 5423. The company is highlighting its new Technician Series toolboxes, the largest capacity, most durable boxes on the market. Affordable and made in the USA, the toolboxes are equipped with full-extension drawers capable of holding 440 pounds. Other products at the booth will be storage cabinets, tool transporters and ergonomic workstations.
