StylistPick, the subscription-based fashion buying website for shoe and accessory shoppers, has appointed Juliet Warkentin as Chief Creative Officer and Co-Founder.
Warkentin starts on June 1 following four years as Content Director at WGSN, the global leader in style trend analysis.
StylistPick Founder Felix Leuschner comments: “Juliet joins us at a critical moment. Her content, strategic brand skills and fashion trend experience will ensure that StylistPick heads in the right direction as we continue to gather sales momentum.”
Juliet Warkentin said: “Opportunities of this kind don’t come along too often. I’m here to help create a mass market, democratic fashion brand for time-pressed women who want the stress taken out of their fashion decisions. StylistPick is perfectly positioned to help them. I’m thrilled to be joining.”
StylistPick’s USP lies in its personalised customer service that gives subscribers exclusive access to trusted top celebrity and TV stylists, who deliver specially selected items to inboxes, according to customers’ profile.
Leading fashion personalities on board include Grace Woodward from Britain’s Next Top Model and The X Factor; fashion journalist and MTV star Louise Roe; and professional stylists Charlotte Adsett, Steph Stevens, Arabella Greenhill and Chris Leger who dress celebrities including Alexa Chung, Dannii Minogue, Paloma Faith and Pixie Lott.
StylistPick’s ‘shoe and bag drops’, a monthly hand picked selection for subscribers, takes the legwork out of shoe shopping at a cost of just £39.95 per month.
StylistPick had received £5m Series A funding from venture capital firms Index Ventures and Accel Partners in April. Robin Klein from Index and Sonali De Rycker from Accel will join CEO Felix Leuschner and existing investor director Eileen Burbidge on the StylistPick board.
Together Juliet Warkentin and Felix Leuschner will be focusing efforts on category diversification, geographic expansion and increased sales and marketing efforts.
