Burbank, CA (PRWEB) May 18, 2011
It’s already known for celebrities and movie studios, but did you know that Burbank, Calif. is also home to Hollywood’s largest herd of horses? Tucked away at the foot of Griffith Park inside the Los Angeles Equestrian Center, Traditional Equitation School (TES) offers city kids an opportunity to spend their summer vacation riding horses in a beautiful setting – without leaving L.A.
“Many parents think they need to send their children to a sleepaway camp hours away for them to be able to ride horses,” said TES Owner Steve Weeks. “At the TES Horse Camp, kids ride every day, and spend the rest of the day outdoors enjoying the horses.” Weeks explained that aside from daily rides, the campers participate in hands-on barn activities and horse-related games and crafts. The proximity of TES to the city of Los Angeles allows campers to spend their days immersed in ‘horse heaven’ and still be home for dinner!
TES Kids’ Horse Camp is for children 6-12 years old and meets Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The weeklong sessions begin June 20 and end August 26. Tuition is $395.00 per week $100.00 per day. Visit http://www.traditionaleq.com and click on the “kids camp” link for more information or to register, or call our office at (818) 569-3666.
