Global Advertising Strategies Partners With the Traditional Art Society of Korea to Support the 2011 Korean Traditional Art Festival in New York City

“Exploring cultural heritage has become a hot topic with the release of the 2010 Census results,” said Jesse Williamson, Global’s Vice President of International Client Services.

The Traditional Art Society of Korea (TASK) has partnered with Global Advertising Strategies, a leading marketing and communications agency, to promote the 2011 Korean Traditional Performing Art Competition and Festival. Global will oversee the ideation and execution of marketing outreach, lend organizational support and work with TASK to secure additional sponsors for the competition and festival.

The 2011 Korean Traditional Art Festival will take place on June 25th, 2011, at the recently renovated Alice Tully Hall of Manhattan’s Lincoln Center. The 10th Anniversary gala will feature 12 ‘living national treasures of Korea’ performing traditional Korean music in celebration of Korea’s cultural heritage. Preceding the festival, TASK will hold its Annual Traditional Performing Art Competition on June 24th at the Flushing Town Hall in Queens. Young Korean-Americans will showcase their musical and dance talents for a chance to perform at Lincoln Center alongside the 12 living national treasures.
