Grammar Jammers Primary Edition, a free K-5 learning app, is a finalist in the prestigious 2011 Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) CODiE Awards. Developed to support Pearson’s research-based Scott Foresman Reading Street elementary school program, the grammar fundamentals app is honored in the Best Mobile Education Solution category.

Established in 1986, the CODiE Awards celebrate outstanding achievement across the software, digital information and education technology industries. Nominated products undergo an intensive review by subject matter experts, analysts, journalists and other respected authorities in education technology.

Kids get in sync with grammar fundamentals through Grammar Jammers Primary Edition’s interactive animated videos to help make learning the rules of grammar a fun, melodic and memorable experience anywhere, anytime. Grammar Jammers focuses on essential grammatical rules and usage, providing a framework for learning that supports students and offers rewards as they work through the content. Each level presents direct instruction through innovative animations, followed by opportunities for students to apply their new knowledge and reinforce learning.

Rewards are given throughout the app, encouraging students to spend time with the program through the unlocking of interactive quizzes. Upon successful completion of an app, students are presented with an engaging and entertaining reward that utilizes the features of the touch screen and mobility of the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
