How often have Blackberry users looked for a way to auto reply to texts while driving, busy at work, or in a meeting? The SMS Auto-Mobile Reply app for BlackBerry helps users do just that without lifting a finger.

In fact, it can even be a handy tool to avoid nagging ex-boyfriends or pesky acquaintances. Simply push a “get off my back” auto message to them without ever getting worked up reading those insane SMSes.

The app can be password protected and has a parental lock. This especially comes in handy for parents who don’t want teenagers to text and drive. The lock can set a start and end time for the app to auto-reply, ensuring that teenagers can't respond to texts while driving.

David Drachman who lives in Seattle, Washington, got this idea at a Green Day concert back in November of 2009, "I used to text code words to friends and family when I was busy or driving so they wouldn't think I was ignoring them. Finally, I thought to myself, why not make an application for that?" "The most exciting thing about this whole process has been the enormous response. We have sold SMS Auto-Mobile Reply to 18 countries and counting," says David, who appeared on Wheel of Fortune in December, 2010.

SMS Auto-Mobile Reply is a simple mobile application to reduce accidents due to texting while driving. Before getting behind the wheel, users can simply turn on the program and not worry about reading or responding to texts. Now we can actually pay attention to the road!

Its new features means users can also create “Profiles,” consisting of “Groups” of people from their contact lists. For example, a user may decide to send out automatic responses to colleagues and acquaintances, or one might want to auto-reply to all incoming messages EXCEPT from their boss or child. Once “Groups” are created, users may mix and match them to form several different “Profile” options. Users can use pre-populated templates for different situations or even customize their own. The list of statuses includes busy, meeting, driving, at the movies, and sleeping. Along with the default messages, users may create and customize their own statuses.

Whether driving or in a meeting, SMS Auto-Mobile Reply is a cool way to avoid the distractions of texting when users have other things to do!

Texas based Impiger Mobile, with over 100 mobile applications to its credit, has developed SMS Auto-Mobile Reply. “This is a simple but very useful app for anyone who cares about quick responses to all incoming texts, while driving or busy attending a meeting.
