Experiential event marketing firm, Entertainment Design Group, today unveiled a new logo. The company retires its logo of 21 years, rolling out a new contemporary look and feel.
“While our ‘painter’ has served us well since 1990, we’ve taken lessons learned over the years, as well as looked forward, and are excited to reveal a new look for the company,” said company President Steven L Guy.
In addition to new colors and type treatment, Entertainment Design Group has shortened its name, using its initials, “e-d-g.”
“The simplification was a natural evolution,” added Guy. “Our clients have been calling us ‘edg’ for years. As a creativity company, the initials provide us further opportunity to connect with our customers. Our ‘e’ can stand for ‘entertainment,’ or ‘events,’ or ‘extreme.’ The ‘d’ can be ‘dream,’ ‘determined’ or ‘daring.’ Our ‘g’ can be ‘grow,’ ‘glamorous’ or ‘graceful’ – the options are endless.”
Guy said the company spent more than a year reviewing its graphic image. The goal was to create a tool that best represented the company today and into the next 20 years, adding he believes the simplicity, color and visual impact of the new logo accomplishes that objective.
