Dallas Arts District Appoints Aria Agency of Record

Dallas-based interactive marketing agency, Aria, to manage brand marketing strategy and promotion for DFW destination

As frequent visitors to The Dallas Arts District ourselves, our personal attachments to the area make us especially excited about our new role.

The Dallas Arts District has named consumer-brand experience firm, Aria, as its full-service marketing agency of record. Aria will lead the marketing and communication strategies as well as implement execution for the district, which has emerged as both the cornerstone and catalyst for creative vitality in the region.

The mission of the non-profit Dallas Arts District organization is to promote the pedestrian-friendly area as one of nation’s cultural centers and among the world’s most important, emerging arts destinations.

When asked about Aria’s role, Veletta Forsythe Lill, Executive Director of The Dallas Arts District said, “We are partnering with Aria because of their expertise in brand management and online marketing strategy as well as their extensive work with destinations in DFW and throughout Texas.”

According to Lill, The Dallas Arts District is looking to Aria to refine its brand and create a fully integrated destination marketing program. “The Dallas Arts District continues to grow and change and we are excited to engage Aria in the evolution,” she said.

CEO Ryan Thompson, said this about the significance of the new partnership: “As frequent visitors to the district ourselves, our personal attachments to the area make us especially excited about our new role. For both new and returning visitors, The Dallas Arts District offers a one-of-a-kind destination with an unlimited mix of cultural experiences.”

Aria’s marketing efforts on the district’s behalf in 2011 are to center on refining brand strategy, defining an integrated marketing plan, building a cooperative partner and sponsorship program, and executing an integrated marketing campaign. According to Aria Executive Creative Director and Partner, Jordan Wollman, “We will be leveraging the very latest in digital, interactive and mobile space marketing tactics to enhance awareness of the district’s brand world-wide.”

Located in the heart of downtown, The Dallas Arts District contains such leading visual and performing arts institutions as the Crow Collection of Asian Art, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Meyerson Symphony Center, the Nasher Sculpture Center, the Winspear Opera House, and the Wyly Theatre.
