Lead Expert from Intelligent Decisions will Detail Cutting-Edge IT Disaster Recovery and Virtual Deployment Solutions Necessary for Special Operations Missions

Intelligent Decisions (ID), Inc., a premier global systems integrator, is a key presenter at the 2011 Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC) entitled “Special Operations Forces: Setting the Course,” sponsored by the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), being held today through May 19 in Tampa, FL. The goal of SOFIC is to provide a forum for collaboration and positive, proactive networking between all stakeholders from industry, academia, professional organizations, and government agencies who support special operations. Specifically, the technology exhibition will showcase new and emerging technologies and products developed by the industry’s innovators.

ID Senior Solutions Architect Simon Mijolovic, an expert in internal Cloud, server/desktop virtualization, and data storage will serve as ID’s lead presenter. He has over 12 years of experience in IT disaster recovery that enables special operations to be maintained and quickly restored in the event of an unexpected service disruption. In addition, Simon has more than seven years of virtual deployment experience in mobile datacenters that ensure special operations rapid deployment capabilities to support real-time mission critical data.

Simon will provide conference participants with the opportunity to ask questions and seek answers to challenging questions in the design and deployment of integrated IT solutions for the special operations community. He will also detail requirements for certification and accreditation of components, known as the DIACAP process, which is necessary to obtaining an authority to operate (ATO) on U.S. Department of Defense networks.

“Our special operations forces deserve cutting-edge IT solutions that help ensure their success in both mission planning and execution,” said Harry Martin, president and CEO of Intelligent Decisions. “Intelligent Decisions, together with strategic partners like VMWARE, continues to advise the special operations and overall defense community on the technology necessary to deliver the right results at the right time.”

VMWare, an industry leader in Cloud and virtualization technology, will display its capabilities in the tactical and enterprise datacenter at the conference. An ID strategic partner, VMWARE is known throughout the industry for delivering customer-proven solutions that accelerate IT by reducing complexity and enabling more flexible, agile service delivery.
