Massachusetts Department of Public Health chooses award-winning provider for Globalstar and Iridium service.

GlobaFone, a leading multi-carrier satellite Service Provider announced today that they have been selected by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health as their satellite provider. GlobaFone has been providing MA DPH with their award-winning service for five years under the previous contract. By State law, the contract had to be re-bid.

Under the contract GlobaFone will provide both Globalstar and Iridium satellite services to 77 State run hospitals. The satellite phones will enable the hospitals to remain connected in emergencies, when cellular and landline service is not working.

The MA DPH contract is a one-year contract with four optional renewals.
