NC 7000 Thin Multiwall CNTs and EPOCYL™ Epoxy Resins Provide Cleanliness, Electrical Conductivity, and Mechanical Reinforcement

Nanocyl announced today that it is showcasing its range of carbon nanotube technologies for advanced automotive electronics and composite sporting goods this week at the Chinaplas International Exhibition in Guangzhou, PR China. Nanocyl is located in Booth 12.2L01 in the China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex.

Nanocyl is featuring its innovative NC 7000 Thin Multiwall CNTs, the most electrically conductive carbon nanotubes available today. These remarkable CNTs have an almost perfect chemical surface, and are highly valued because their small size and high aspect ratio lets them form a network of conductivity at a very low concentration.

EPOCYL epoxy resins for lighter, fiber-reinforced composite materials will be the other featured product line. These specially-formulated CNTs provide the conductivity, structural strength, durability and weight reduction required for today’s aerospace, automotive, marine and sports applications.

According to Lempereur, the electronics industry is using CNTs in applications that need higher cleanliness in addition to electrostatic discharge (ESD) properties. In the automotive industry, for instance, CNTs offer outstanding resistance to fuel while meeting industry standards.

“In the sporting goods industry,” she said, “makers of fiber-reinforced, composite hockey sticks are using CNTs because they add the strength and durability for achieving higher performance.”
