Targeted at busy people with limited time and a need for easily digested, high value information, 24PageBooks cover subjects that once required hours of reading in a new “instant expertise” format.
“We realized that the conventional trade format of 200 pages really only existed because of shelving requirements in brick and mortar bookstores. With ebooks, this becomes a non-issue. So we decided to see if we could duplicate the information found in a long form how-to book in a 6000 word digital format. And the answer was yes- we could and have with our first five titles. And the business model is proving to be highly scalable, with titles in the works on parenting issues, lifestyle design, business, entrepreneurship, skills development and more. 24PageBooks raised a round of seed funding with Kima Ventures of Paris, France in January. This capital is being utilized to build a list of 30-40 titles in our first year, all under the 24PageBooks brand. We are currently working with a stable of subject-matter experts on a variety of projects. The challenges of ebook publishing are similar to those of conventional editorial processes in conventional print publishing in that quality and value are paramount.
