New QuickBooks App Simplifies and Enhances Direct Mail Marketing

QuickBooks (Intuit) has selected Tampa-based Postcard Services ( as a national finalist to develop a new app for their popular accounting platform. The Postcard Services team will join other finalists in San Francisco this August to compete for Intuit’s national “championship” award.

Using its patent-pending technology, the Postcard Services app provides QuickBooks users with the ability to generate direct mail campaign solutions from within the QuickBooks platform.

“The app permits the generation of campaigns for QuickBooks users of all sizes,” said Newell White, President of Postcard Services. “For example, a business might use the app to create a campaign targeting as few as 50 customers from within their data base who bought product X in the last 30 days or a campaign targeting 500,000 customers who have not purchased product Y in the last 120 days.” The app contains a variety of other useful filters that will be unveiled at the August event. Mr. White also stated, “The app will contain reporting features that enable users to track the return on investment (ROI) associated with each direct mail campaign.”

Postcard Services C.E.O. Jonathan Kremner said, “The app unleashes the marketing power of data already stored within a user’s QuickBooks system. It allows for internal QuickBooks data and externally sourced data to drive direct mail marketing campaigns.” He added, “And, because the solution is cloud-based, there’s no additional software to buy.” Mr. Kremner further stated, “It’s a very different solution from say, our 2nd Shot Mail program for call centers - which targets callers that did not buy product via the call center within 72 hours of the call.
