From keeping schedules to keeping in touch with friends, portable technology has changed the way U.S. consumers manage their lives – including their money. CareOne Services, Inc., one of the nation’s largest providers of debt relief services, is proud to announce the recent release of its iPhone and Android app, designed to help customers stay on top of their debt relief plans – even on the go.

The CareOne app is designed to help customers better manage their debt relief plans, which are structured repayment programs designed to help consumers get out of debt much faster than they could on their own. Customers are able to see a quick snapshot of their program, including the amount and date of their next payment. They can also access specifics about their creditors, including proposal/offer statuses, payments made and estimated balances. Customers can view recent payment activities and track their progress toward becoming debt free. So far, more than 2,334 apps have been downloaded.

One of the biggest challenges that consumers face when they first enroll in a debt management or debt settlement program is making their payments consistently on time, each month. The CareOne app reminds them of their commitment to paying off their debt. Consistency in payments is crucial to customers’ success in becoming debt free.

“The development of the CareOne app is a great example of how we listen and respond to our customers’ needs,” said Jenny Realo, executive vice president of CareOne Services. “More than 3,000 people participated in a customer survey with 33 percent expressing interest in a mobile app. The fact that one-third of our surveyed customers, who are struggling with debt, have smartphones and want to use them to help manage their programs, showed us that this technology is no longer a luxury.”

Customers can download the free app through Apple’s App Store and Google’s Android Marketplace. This is CareOne’s first foray into the mobile space.
