It's Official - Huey to Face Hahn in CD 36 on July 12

Small businessman Craig Huey has secured his victory over Debra Bowen and will face Los Angeles City Council woman Janice Hahn in the runoff election for the 36th congressional district on July 12.

"The counting today increased our margin over Bowen to 750 votes. There are not enough votes left to change the outcome. Craig is in the runoff," said Huey consultant Dave Gilliard.

In the update from this afternoon's counting, Craig Huey leads Bowen by a margin of 14,096 to 13,346. There are only about 20 ballots left to count. Janice Hahn finished with 15,607 votes.

"I am very thankful and deeply honored by the results," said Huey, a long-time Torrance business owner. "This district does not belong to any one party or political machine, it belongs to the people and they are responding to our message of fiscal sanity and more jobs."
