“Not only is TestDrive INSIGHT a valuable tool for sales and marketing teams concerned with lead generation but it also provides invaluable information and reporting to product development teams,” says Tim Keyes, CEO of Runaware.

Runaware, the global leader in online demo solutions and cloud computing initiatives, today announced the launch of TestDrive® INSIGHT. A companion feature to their popular TestDrive software demo environment, TestDrive INSIGHT provides behind-the-scenes information of how a customer is using a particular software product.

This add-on feature is able to run in the background of any software demo conducted through TestDrive and provides data to the client in both Excel reports and video format. Besides knowing who the lead is, the data collected allows the Independent Software Vendor (ISV) to see exactly how much time someone spent testing their software, what features they clicked on and it even allows them to watch a video of how the person moves through the software menus and features. Each video can be reviewed in its entirety or for more precise analysis a viewer can click on the individual video markers that indicate when a particular feature has been accessed. A complete summary list of all features accessed during a demo can be found through the main TestDrive INSIGHT interface by clicking on any given demo session. From this summary list a user can organize and search through sessions with any number of criteria to create a custom excel report.

“Not only is TestDrive INSIGHT a valuable tool for sales and marketing teams concerned with lead generation but it also provides invaluable information and reporting to product development teams,” says Tim Keyes, CEO of Runaware. “Never before have ISVs been able to get a first-hand glimpse at exactly how customers are moving through their software applications in a demo environment like TestDrive offers.”

Some of the key features of TestDrive INSIGHT include the distinct advantage of seeing how prospective customers react to various visuals and stimuli within the software, as opposed to reports that only offer “click-through” data. Using the navigational information, marketing teams can see what features are most popular and build marketing campaigns that focus on the most valuable features.

Additionally, product development teams are provided with immediate software usability research and in turn can focus their development time on features that customers are the most interested in or see where customer confusion is greatest.

TestDrive INSIGHT is available as an add-on feature for all TestDrive clients and is available now. More information about TestDrive INSIGHT click here.
