Busy Professionals Can Now Find a Fitness Trainer That Meets Their Unique Needs today announced the launch of an innovative, online platform for fitness professionals. Free of charge, the website provides resources to help personal trainers better meet the needs of technology savvy clients.

“TownFit’s goal is to help busy professionals put a little fitness in their day,” said Aimee Sando, the website’s founder. “With my busy schedule, I know firsthand the advantages of working out with a personal trainer, but many independent trainers lack online tools to effectively meet the desires of their clients. Finding a good trainer that works well with your personality and time constraints can be overwhelming but with TownFit it does not have to be.”

The site aims to grow to an extensive database of trainers and become the go to resource for consumers looking to work out with a personal trainer. With an individual customizable webpage, trainers can post photos, specialties and highlight their fitness philosophies and background.

“The home page allows you find a trainer that matches your training type, location and calendar availability need,” said Sando. “Search results are comprised of innovative and informative trainer profiles that help you get a feel for each trainer before you choose to connect with one to schedule an introductory workout or assessment. Many trainers offer first time clients a free or discounted session.” not only helps personal trainers market to new clients, but offers tools for trainers to support relationships with their existing clientele. Existing clients can view upcoming sessions, request sessions and cancel sessions (more than 24 hours in advance), as well as track their training history and progress against their fitness goals. Trainers create accounts for each of their clients and upon doing so each client receives their own personalized web-page and training log that links with their trainer’s website.

A user review message board also allows for prospective clients to review testimonials to assist them in their selection of a personal trainer. Trainers can synch their twitter account enabling their tweets to be seen from their profile page.

“Whether you are a trainer for Pilates or a running coach, individual trainers have long been reliant on word of mouth,” added Sando. “With so much information on the internet, our objective is to be the number one resource solely dedicated to personal trainers and their clients.”

With its unique online calendar tool, allows clients to schedule and reschedule appointments without the time consuming back and forth of phone calls. The calendar is fully compatible with Google Calendar. The resource is ideal for out of town business travelers.
