Tremendous climbing team effort results in Record Breaking Himalayan climbs.

Alpine Ascents International is proud to announce that all 2011 Everest Team members reached the summit of Mt. Everest (8,850m/29,035ft) as noted below in summit report. In an historic first, three of the team members, Expedition Leader and guide, Garrett Madison along with Tom Halliday and Michael Horst continued on to the summit of Lhotse (8,516m/27,940ft) the 4th Highest Mountain in the World, after returning to the South Col. This marks the first time in history that Everest and Lhotse were climbed in less than 24 hours. In fact these three climbers are the first people ever to stand on top of 2 eight thousand meter peaks in a 24-hour period. We are proud of their tremendous accomplishment and congratulate our Everest Sherpa Team, Guides and climbers.
