Middleburg, VA (PRWEB) May 24, 2011
Washington Wealth Management, LLC today announced that John Simmons has agreed to come aboard as the firm’s new President. Mr. Simmons, a 24-year veteran of the financial services industry, brings an extensive track record of establishing new branches and leading the regional expansion for firm’s such as Prudential, Wachovia, Merrill Lynch and most recently Morgan Stanley Smith Barney where he was a Managing Director and Regional Director overseeing Southern California, Las Vegas and Hawaii. As President of Washington Wealth Management, Mr. Simmons will oversee all of the firm’s existing branches, as well as lead the rapid expansion of its independent network of financial advisers. Also, based in California, Mr. Simmons’ addition to the firm establishes a West Coast presence for Washington Wealth Management, allowing the firm to respond to the nationwide demand for its new model.
Tony Sirianni, CEO and Founder of Washington Wealth Management, remarked, “I am very excited that John has come aboard to help lead the firm during this exciting time of rapid growth. He is going to play a critical role in the firm’s expansion and his deep knowledge and experience will be a great resource for guiding our advisers on a day-to-day basis, giving them the support they need as they deliver what we think is the best approach to wealth management in the industry today.”
Regarding his decision to join the firm, Mr. Simmons remarked, “This is an exciting new chapter in my career and an opportunity to lead something that I think will be truly transformational to the industry. In my experience, the adviser’s operating within the traditional wirehouse model would much prefer the opportunity to work independently, but too often the high costs of transitioning and managing their own business is too high, and the process of making that transition too difficult.” Mr. Simmons continued: “the platform Tony Sirianni and his team have created not only solves those two issues, but also provides advisers with on-going service and practice management support. Plus Washington Wealth Management has established an environment of idea sharing and collaboration, so advisers are not out there on their own. There is a great thirst for independence among advisers out there today, and Washington Wealth Management can provide the water.”

We’re working on opening several more branches, and with John on the West Coast, that provides us not only with ability to ramp up our efforts of establishing a presence there, but also a strong, seasoned leader to help guide all of our advisers through the transition process and to easily support them on a day-to-day basis.”
