The new Dorset, Ontario directory website promoting business and tourism in the Lake of Bays and Algonquin Highlands, has been launched by the Dorset Community Partnership group. The Dorset Community Resource Directory will serve as an important tourism marketing tool and as a valuable community resource, providing information about events and services available in the area.

The Dorset Community Partnership group has launched a new website to promote business and tourism in Dorset, Ontario and to provide the Dorset Community with information about upcoming events, arts and culture, and all the services that are available in the area. The new Dorset Community Resource Directory ( has been online for a month now and area businesses and community groups have been pleased with the public’s response.

The new Dorset Canada website showcases the distinctive appeal and many wonderful attributes of this popular central Ontario vacation destination area that straddles the districts of Muskoka and the Haliburton Highlands and includes the townships of Algonquin Highlands and Lake of Bays. This comprehensive visitor’s guide describes in detail the many reasons for visiting Dorset, Ontario and highlights the area’s many unique attractions. Operated by the Dorset Community Partnership group, a volunteer association comprised of area business owners, resort operators and community groups, provides a valuable resource for Dorset area residents and cottagers, as well as a convenient one stop resource for visitors planning a Dorset Ontario vacation or those wishing to move to the area.” says Gerry Zwaal, Remax realtor.
