Cologne, Germany (PRWEB) May 24, 2011
SA2 Worldsync, a leading global provider of data synchronization and master data management services, today announced the appointment of Steven Robba as its new Global Standards Director, effective immediately. In this role, Robba is responsible for gathering and communicating standards-based product requirements related to the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN). Robba, who brings more than 21 years of experience in global supply chain management, also will represent SA2 Worldsync on all matters related to the GDSN and the Global Standards Management Process (GSMP) as well as consult clients on implementations and support new business activities. Robba succeeds W. Grant Kille, who will retire in July after an 11-year career with the company and its predecessor firm, WWRE/Agentrics.
“Steven Robba brings broad experience with the GDSN and will play a key role in advising our community of more than 7,600 clients on standards-related updates and their impact on systems and data management practices,” said SA2 Worldsync Chief Executive Officer Nihat Arkan. “Steven has worked with our customer community for nearly 10 years and has a solid foundation in GDSN solutions and advisory services. His experience will be a great asset to our product definition team, as he continues to build on the standards program led by Mr. Kille.”
Robba joins the company after 15 years with U.S.-based pharmaceutical and consumer goods firm Johnson & Johnson, where he was Global Enterprise Architect for Sales, Marketing & Services responsible for managing GDSN activities and relationships. Throughout his career, he has led projects and designs for global data synchronization, data quality processes and Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR). A member of several industry standards groups including the GDSN User Group Advisory Council, Robba has supported retailer initiatives and advanced data synchronization practices. While at Johnson & Johnson, he worked with suppliers to develop a global enterprise platform in collaboration with SAP on GDS 2.0 and 2.1 applications.
Robba earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Rutgers University in New Jersey. He will be based out of SA2 Worldsync’s office in Maryland, U.S.
