Alarm.com, the technology leader in interactive services for the security industry, today announced its support of the new D.C. United Women (DCUW) soccer team, which joins the United Soccer Leagues’ W-League, the first and longest-standing women’s soccer league in North America.

“We are very proud to be a community and team supporter and to be able to offer D.C. United Women our sponsorship,” explained Alarm.com co-founder and Vice President of Product Management Alison Slavin.

As someone who grew up playing soccer and who continues to play in various D.C. area adult leagues, Slavin was a strong advocate for Alarm.com’s involvement.

“Through our sponsorship, we also have the opportunity to reach the D.C. area’s growing and very enthusiastic soccer fan base, to let them know about the innovative security and energy management services that Alarm.com provides,” said Slavin.

“We are very thankful to have the support of such a well-respected company that appreciates our vision for the sport and the players,” said DCUW general manager Tim Schweitzer. “We are looking forward to a great partnership with Alarm.com this season.”
