They understand that success in their industry is about more than accounting; it's also about leadership.
Charleston, SC (PRWEB) May 24, 2011
Dixon Hughes Goodman, LLP, the largest CPA firm in the Southern United States, recently hosted nationally recognized motivational speaker Scott Greenberg as keynote speaker for their Summer Leadership Conference in Charleston South Carolina. The symposium was held May 18-20 at the Mills House Hotel in Charleston. Greenberg discussed with the students techniques for leading during times of change and adversity, business ethics, servant leadership, team-building and overcoming mental barriers for success.
This annual conference hosted by Dixon Hughes Goodman was designed to recruit high performing accounting students with a 3.3 GPA or higher. This year, Dixon Hughes Goodman hosted 71 accounting students, primarily from the Eastern Seaboard, to attend a two and a half day program on what it takes to be a good leader in their industry. Greenberg conducted a five hour training session where he gave the students tools on how to lead during times of change and adversity. The students participated in a number of workshops, activities and discussions to help them network and develop their leadership skills.
"I'm very excited to assist Dixon Hughes Goodman with the development of young leaders,” says Motivational College Speaker Scott Greenberg. “They understand that success in their industry is about more than accounting; it's also about leadership."
