The time when language trips were exclusively designed for parents is now over. Since the motivation mostly comes from the teens themselves, the choice of the destination does too. Teenagers are looking for urban culture; they want to experience the dynamism of big cities. It is therefore essential to develop juniors programs that meet their wishes » explains Gautier Oudot from the ESL Head office in Montreux (Switzerland).
Paris: learn French at the foot of the Eiffel Tower
26% of parents in Europe want their children to learn French*. It is a strategic choice: French is the third most widely spoken language in Europe, after English and German. Every teenager who wants to learn French doesn’t necessarily want to go the sea, declares Gautier Oudot. Paris offers a first-class cultural agenda. We now provide more sports activities and offer extraordinary language trips. The language courses in total immersion that take place in the French capital are especially designed for teenagers between 13 and 17 years and ensure them professional supervision and a safe environment.
The U.S.A.: the American dream in the original version
Between 5.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m., more than half of all teenagers watch TV*. Many teenagers dream of visiting the cities they see in TV serials or in films » explains Gautier Oudot. Young people from 14 years can immerse themselves in the English language and culture during a language course in New York, Boston or Los Angeles for instance. And this, in an ideal and safe environment since they will be staying on real American university campuses (for instance Harvard in Boston or UCLA in Los Angeles).
The ESL difference
Language learning first! ESL selects only recognized partner language schools that are accredited by international quality labels. Besides, with ESL, you are sure not to find yourself in a group entirely made up of teenagers speaking the same language as yours. The participants come from whole world, which allows each of them to live a unique experience in an international atmosphere.
