Neue Helvetische Bank, a newly formed Swiss private bank, has implemented SunGard’s Ambit Private Banking solution suite to help it establish a client-centric private banking platform. The bank is using a range of solutions from across SunGard’s financial systems portfolio including: Ambit Core Banking to provide the core banking infrastructure; Ambit Client Information Management to separate client confidential data from portfolio positions within the bank; and Ambit eBanking to provide a fully integrated Internet banking service. The bank is also using SunGard’s Valdi trading solution to provide global market data and financial calculators for trade management.

This is the second deployment of SunGard’s Ambit Private Banking solution at a private bank co-founded by Neue Helvetische Bank’s founder and chairman, Thomas Matter. The bank has deployed SunGard’s Ambit Core Banking, Ambit eBanking and Valdi Global Trading solutions via SFB services4banks AG - an application service provider (ASP) in Switzerland. It has selected to implement SunGard’s Ambit Client Information Management solution off-site.

Daniel Hefti, chief executive officer of Neue Helvetische Bank, said, “Thanks to SunGard’s deep industry expertise and delivery excellence, we were able to go live on the Ambit Private Banking solution suite within budget and in less than six months. By deploying the solutions using a combination of ASP-based and installed models, we were able to reduce the implementation timeframes as well as minimize ongoing maintenance costs while upholding the strict security needs of our high net worth clients. SunGard is our trusted partner for building and maintaining an efficient private banking technology infrastructure that delivers operational efficiency and helps us offer competitive private banking and wealth management services.”

Daniel Bardini, chief operating officer of SunGard’s Ambit Private Banking business unit, said, “I am pleased to again support the launch of a new private bank established by Mr. Matter. SunGard’s range of proven solutions helps banks effectively manage their core assets and become well-managed banks. With the assistance of SunGard’s Ambit Private Banking solution suite, Neue Helvetische Bank has established a private bank focused on client-centricity with improved cost management and greater diversified products and services helping the bank provide excellent delivery standards and investment returns to their clients.”
