Bluegreen Corporation celebrated National Women’s Health Week for the entire month of May, hosting events, seminars and screenings.

Bluegreen Corporation (NYSE: BXG), a leading provider of Colorful Places to Live and Play®, today announced that it acknowledged and participated in National Women’s Health Week through the entire month of May. While the National Women’s Health Week began on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8, and continued to May 14, 2011, Bluegreen Wellness will continue the campaign until the end of the month.

The Women’s Health Week initiative seeks to bring together communities, businesses, government, and other organizations and groups in an effort to promote women’s health. Initiated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Women’s Health, National Women’s Health Week empowers women to make their health a top priority. It is also a goal of the initiative to take preventative steps to improve their physical and mental health, as well as lower their risks of disease.

The Bluegreen Wellness Program will participate in Women’s Health Week by hosting events that will provide information and positive reinforcement toward healthy living for women. The Bluegreen Wellness Program is a corporate initiative to establish a work environment that promotes healthy lifestyles, decreases the risk of disease and enhances the quality of life for its associates. It encourages Bluegreen personnel and their families to strengthen their health and well-being through educational opportunities, wellness activities and self-improvement.
