America’s Job Exchange Co-Hosts Successful Veterans Job Fair

Partners with employers and local organizations to promote jobs for Veterans.

America’s Job Exchange (AJE), a leader in compliance postings and diversity hiring co-hosted the seventh annual Veterans Job Fair at the Northeastern University campus on Wednesday, May 25, 2011. AJE partnered with Boston’s One-Stop Career Center, The New England Center for Homeless Veterans, Northeastern University and the U.S.Department of Veteran’s Affairs Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment’s VetSuccess to sponsor and promote this specialized networking event. The Veteran’s Job Fair was designed to provide transitioning Veterans, who are looking to become members of the civilian workforce, an opportunity to connect with nearly 100 employers seeking candidates with talent and leadership skills.

“Veterans face unique challenges when re-entering the civilian work force.” said Rathin Sinha, President, America’s Job Exchange. “Many Veterans enter the military, temporarily pausing their education or civilian work, thus impacting their future job-search process. Even in the face of such challenges, Veterans offer skills and teamwork that are highly valued in the civilian workforce. AJE is committed to helping Veterans get back to work and we are pleased to join other esteemed organizations to co-host this event.”

The Veterans Job Fair was held on, May 25th, 2011 from 1-4 p.m. at Northeastern University’s Cabot Gym located at 360 Huntington Avenue in Boston. Approximately 100 employers with job openings in fields from accounting, engineering, government, healthcare, transportation, logistics and more participated.
