Susan Anthony, owner and principal of Anthony-Wright Interiors, a full-service interior design firm based in Irvington-on-Hudson, New York, specializes in architectural redesign, sustainable methods, and residential design and is adding an award to her already impressive background and accomplishments in the field.
She received the second place Innovation in Design Award in the Interior Design Category at this year’s Innovation in Design Awards, given by Cottages and Gardens Publications.
Held on May 24th, 2011, at the Hilton Stamford Hotel, the award ceremony recognized top creativity and professional achievement of New York and Connecticut’s interior design community in five categories: landscape design, kitchen design, bath design, interior design, and architecture.
“Cottages and Gardens Magazine is such a beautiful, sophisticated magazine, and it is an honor to be recognized by both them and the panel of esteemed judges,” said Susan Anthony, owner of Anthony-Wright interiors and recipient of the award. “Much of the hard work we do as designers is hidden from view, so it is a wonderful feeling to be singled out by your peers.”
Susan Anthony wowed the judges with the charmingly elegant design of her home, Acorn Cottage. The cozy atmosphere paired with sophisticated details is what makes this home so inviting, and the harmonious, natural color palette puts the eye at contented ease. Susan named the cottage after the acorn, nature’s most perfect food.
