Go iLawn is making the process of creating a takeoff very simple. Contractors can measure 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from any location.
Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) May 26, 2011
The improved Go iLawn measuring tools and functionality allows contractors to measure properties faster than before whether they are in the office or out in the field. A new measurement grouping feature gives users the ability to categorize measurements by type of surface including turf, mulch, asphalt, sidewalks, edging and concrete. Furthermore, users can undo while measuring as well as copy, paste and edit completed measurements.
Predefined shapes and a freehand drawing tool have been added to the tool set allowing users to quickly define common property features. The freehand drawing tool gives contractors the ability to measure in the field with a tablet computer.
“One of the most significant improvements was the addition of the freehand measuring tool,” said Grant Gibson, President of Go iLawn. “This new tool allows contractors to utilize the Go iLawn measuring capabilities with a tablet computer for use in the field.”
Improved Go iLawn features include:
- Group measurements by surface types such as turf, mulch, edge, asphalt, concrete and sidewalks.
- Freehand tool for measuring in the field.
- Predefined squares and circles for quick measuring of common property features.
- Users can undo, copy, paste and edit measurements.
- Labels and graphics can be hidden or displayed for site diagrams.
“If I only had this type of technology at my fingertips when I was a contractor” states Mike Rorie former President of Ground Masters and CEO of Go iLawn. “Go iLawn is making the process of creating a takeoff very simple. Contractors can measure 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from any location. It can’t get any better than that.”
The new tools and functionality were built not only to improve the existing features, but also to lay the groundwork for future development of Go iLawn. “All of the new and improved measuring tools set the stage for the Proposal Builder tool due to be released during the summer of 2011,” says Gibson. “With the release of the Go iLawn Proposal Builder tool, there will soon be no other online software in the industry that provides the ability to go directly from measurement to proposal.”
