Cleveland Browns starting QB Colt McCoy announces details for his return home to Texas, to host his first football camps since being drafted by the Browns. The All State QB from Jim Ned High School who went on to lead the Texas Longhorns with the most wins in NCAA history and 46 other Texas and National records will host two camps this summer. The first will be July 5-6 on the campus of Abilene Christian University, in Abilene. The second will be July 8-9 in Austin at Westlake High School. Camps will start at 8:30am and end at 12:30 pm each day.
Colt will be on site to direct camp activities and provide instruction. The camp also features several of the top high school and collegiate coaches that have been a part of Colt’s development and growth through the years, along with some of his NFL teammates. Camp is open to kids 8 years old to high school athletes, and will be broken into three groups according to age, for drills, instruction and competition.
Youth campers will experience specialized instruction in the fundamental skills of all positions and the team concept of football. Older athletes will participate in position specific instruction and evaluation. All campers will be instructed by some of the best in the country with an emphasis on character and leadership development. Individual groups are small to assure each camper gets maximum personalized instruction.
Campers will receive autographed team photo with Colt, camp T-shirt, camp goodie bag and an opportunity to win additional contests and prizes. Cost of the camp is $165.00 for pre-registered campers and $175.00 the day of camp.
