STRATIX metal software has the specific features related to our flatrolled coil and sheet business, Brian Schrunk, IT Director at Staub Metals Corporation.

Invera, the metal industry software specialist, announces the release of ‘STRATIX/TOLL,’ a toll processing module for customer-owned metal products, as part of their metal service center software STRATIX.
STRATIX/TOLL is used by metal service centers or ‘toll processors’ that process customer-owned inventory. Toll processors are metal distribution companies that focus on processing customer-owned material for other service centers, large end users, and producing mills.
Their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software solution STRATIX addresses the unique requirements of the metal industry in the global metal market. A seamless integration of native metal industry terminology and functionality make STRATIX quick to deploy with minimum implementation costs. The STRATIX software includes sales, purchasing, receiving, inventory management, multi-step production, production scheduling, delivery and logistics planning, invoicing, and financials.
STRATIX handles all types of ferrous and non-ferrous metal products of every form, including coils, sheets, structural products, wire, pipe and tubing, rebar, mesh, bars, roll formed products, panels/profiles, and building products.
STRATIX/TOLL includes a streamlined Toll Order Entry function that is fully integrated with the standard STRATIX order fulfillment functions, as well as specialized features for Invoicing and Reporting.
STRATIX/TOLL can be used for any type of processing such as slitting, cut to length, bar drawing, turning, honing, bending, heat treatment or polishing.
Customer-owned inventory in STRATIX uses the same product coding as regular-owned inventory. Separate product codes are not required; therefore, company staff can access all STRATIX functions using one set of product codes. In addition, for convenient identification and tracking purposes, all inventory is identified with a customer ID. Salespeople can, for example, search for all Cold Rolled Coils, grade CS, 18 gauge for customer ‘ABC Company.’
When customer owned material is received, such as a coil or a bundle of bars, it can be received with a customer’s tag number. STRATIX provides a receipt acknowledgment, which is fully integrated, and can be sent via fax or email.
STRATIX/TOLL is fully integrated with barcoding and AIAG tags. Based on settings in the customer’s profile, barcoded tags can be produced automatically at time of receiving and production. In addition, STRATIX/TOLL provides WiFi bar code scanning features for location changes, pick recording, or to conduct swift customer-specific physical inventories.
A comprehensive customer profile can be used to speed up the entry and verification of toll processing orders. Options are provided to denote whether the customer is billed at time of ‘Shipment’ or time of ‘Production,’’ based on consumed weight or produced weight, or for any charges related to storage. Different options are also provided for scrap handling.
The STRATIX Sales Order Entry function was significantly enhanced to include toll processing features. Each sales order item can have a different ship-to, so that material can be sent to multiple customer destinations. In addition, produced items can be made to stock for subsequent release. The customer can also be billed for freight separately. STRATIX also provides ‘toll contract orders,’ which are used to record an agreement to process a certain quantity of a specific product with applicable charges.
STRATIX/TOLL is designed to operate with production information being recorded on the shop floor. This is used for work-in-process and ready-to-ship finished goods.
STRATIX/TOLL has a unique invoicing cycle to meet toll processing requirements. It includes automatic invoice generation at time of shipment or production, the ability to automate scrap credits at time of invoicing, as well as invoice generation for freight.
STRATIX/TOLL is currently live and operational with Staub Metals Corporation, a flatrolled steel processor of coil and sheet, with locations in Paramount and Fontana, CA.
Brian Schrunk, IT Director at Staub, commented, “The STRATIX metal software has the specific features related to our flatrolled coil and sheet business. For the metal service center and toll processing segments of our company, all is handled using the same ERP software.”
