Formed in 2003, LAVEMD, provides state of the art medical care for patients with varicose veins and was started to provide funding for Dr. David Vanderpool's nonprofit organization, Mobile Medical Disaster Relief. Many of the proceeds from LAVE MD go to fund the operations of Mobile Medical Disaster Relief, a 501 c3 organization.

Dr. David Vanderpool was one of the first surgeons certified by the American College of Phlebology, http://www.phlebology.org, in the treatment of varicose veins. LAVE MD, one of the first clinics in the country to provide the EndoVenous Laser Treatment for varicose veins, has expanded it's scope of practice to include all aspects of varicose vein therapy, laser liposuction and many other esthetic treatments. Many of the proceeds from LAVE MD go to fund the operations of Mobile Medical Disaster Relief, a 501 c3 corporation.

Mobile Medical Disaster Relief, http://www.MMDR.org, provides medical and logistical support during disasters in which the country's medical infrastructure is damaged. In between disasters, Mobile Medical Disaster Relief builds and supports medical clinics, provides clean water initiatives and implements micro finance projects in the countries which have suffered disasters. Active in fourteen countries worldwide, the doctors and nurses of Mobile Medical Disaster Relief treat tens of thousands of patients per year who otherwise would have no access to healthcare. MMDR has focused much of its attention on the people of Haiti since the devastating earthquake 18 months ago. Besides having a full time staff in the Port au Prince area, MMDR sends medical teams every month to this disaster ravaged country. In addition to medical care, MMDR has provided thousands of gallons of clean water and tons of food to those unfortunate people living in the tent refugee camps in the Port au Prince area.
