Pentec Health, Inc. has recently been awarded a three-year accreditation from the Joint Commission for its renal nutritional home care services and re-accreditation for its specialty infusion home care services. The Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval demonstrates Pentec’s commitment to providing the highest level of patient safety and patient care. Managed care companies and third party payers recognize the significance of this achievement and the quality it represents, thus adopting the accreditation as a requirement. Other benefits of accreditation include recognition in the industry, standardized care, and continual education.

As part of the national accreditation process, Pentec Health recently underwent a five-day, on-site Joint Commission survey of both its specialty infusion and renal nutritional services. At the conclusion of the visit, the Joint Commission awarded Pentec Health its prestigious Gold Seal accreditation. A follow-up letter from the surveyors commented that Pentec leadership was “fully engaged in quality care and patient safety,” and that Pentec Health’s organization is “focused on evidence-based clinical practice.”

"We are so proud to have received the Gold Seal because it demonstrates an official vote of confidence from the health care industry’s most well-respected reviewing body,” said Pentec Health President and CEO Joseph Cosgrove. “Accreditation is a true testament of our commitment to making a significant investment in quality.”

“Our staff worked very hard to prepare for our accreditation. I attribute our success to their efforts and dedication,” added Karen McHenry, RN, MSN, Executive Director of Nursing Services & Corporate Compliance Officer at Pentec Health.
