When space is at a premium — such as on tactical missions, command villages, or for vehicle transport — the SLICE IP Micro is the answer. Small and light enough to carry in one hand, this impressive solution provides vast communications power.

The SLICE IP Micro offers:

  •     SIP-based VoIP capabilities – Up to 3,000 SIP subscribers per unit
  •     SIP trunks & built-in compression to manage bandwidth usage
  •     An external database interface to enhance administration support
  •     Conferencing capabilities for up to 64 party extensions
  •     Host Control Interface for additional call management capabilities
  •     SNMP monitoring
  •     MLPP for priority and preemption
  •     AS-SIP for resource priorities, ensuring system and network access and control
  •     Secure Socket Layer (SSL)/Transport Layer Security (TLS) for a common encryption layer

The SLICE IP Micro is ideal for essential portable applications, such as emergency response, police, fire, military, and rapid deployment applications. When packaged in its ruggedized carrying case, the SLICE IP Micro is small enough to fit in the overhead compartments of commercial aircraft.

REDCOM offers custom-configurations for the SLICE IP Micro for government, defense, and commercial applications including oil and gas rigs and remote mining sites where space is limited. Its size and flexibility allow small external node configurations.

The SLICE IP Micro is an advanced IP communication core powered by TRANSip®, REDCOM’s VoIP technology suite that provides an innovative IP communications solution. TRANSip integrates key IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) elements in one single platform, bringing call management functionality while offering call setup, control, termination, and directory services for IP subscribers through industry standard architecture, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), for seamless interoperability.
Since its debut in 2005, REDCOM’s SLICE® product line has offered the telecommunications industry a powerful feature set in a slim (1U) integrated solution. The SLICE IP Micro powered by TRANSip brings the value of REDCOM’s experience in telecom and couples it with next-generation VoIP call manager capabilities and technology, creating a highly effective communication solution to the industry.
