CRC Health Group, the nation's largest provider of drug and alcohol rehabilitation services, has announced that its Chief Executive Officer, R. Andrew Eckert, has been elected to the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP) Board. NAATP Board Members are elected by a vote of their membership and board terms are three years in duration.

“I am delighted to be elected to the NAATP Board and excited to have this opportunity to partner with my fellow addiction treatment colleagues,” said Eckert, who joined CRC in January of this year. “CRC Health Group is committed to providing our clients with the highest quality drug and alcohol addiction treatment services, and taking an active role with NAATP underscores our dedication to the field.”

NAATP is a trade association representing over 275 of the best known providers of addiction treatment both in this country and internationally. Founded in 1978, NAATP has assumed a strong leadership role on behalf of treatment providers in areas such as treatment standards, education, research, and advocacy of legislative, regulatory and reimbursement positions supported by the field. The organization’s mission is “to promote, assist and enhance the delivery of ethical, effective, research-based treatment for alcoholism and other drug addictions.”

CRC Health Group is a logical addition to the NAATP board as the company offers the only nationwide network of behavioral health and addiction treatment services with 35 inpatient and 80 outpatient facilities in 23 states.

According to a release issued by NAATP, board members receive no compensation or reimbursement for the participation in the work of the association. They attend several board meetings a year and participate in another 2-3 conference calls per year. Many board members participate in committees of the association or work on task forces that have particular assignments.
