Morley, Leeds (PRWEB UK) 1 June 2011
Springfield House, one of the most popular Morley care homes, is making a unique offer to all new residents. Many people may be worried about letting their dear elderly relatives stay in a Morley retirement home. “How well will they look after my Mum?” is a question that many caring sons and daughters naturally ask themselves. Springfield House is unique, as it is the only Morley old people’s home that has been owned and run by the same family for 28 years. In that time, they have built up an excellent team of staff who look after each resident’s individual needs, and help residents to become part of a happy, friendly community.
To make sure that new residents are completely comfortable and content, Springfield House aims to be the first care home in Morley to provide a free five day trial. Every resident is given the chance to stay for four nights so that they can decide for themselves if they enjoy spending time at Springfield House. The first five days are entirely free of charge, whether or not the person decides to extend their stay at Springfield House Morley Care Home.
As well as being one of the most friendly and welcoming care homes in Morley, Springfield House is also one of the best equipped. Over the years, many thousands of pounds have been spent on the facilities, allowing each resident to get whatever care they need. Although Springfield House is one of several Morley care homes, it also attracts residents from Gildersome, Tingley, Churwell, Beeston and Batley, and Springfield House is ideal for people looking for a Leeds care home.
Sue Hart, who has owned and managed Springfield House Retirement Home in Morley for the last 28 years, explained the thinking behind this surprising offer. ‘Moving to a care home is such a big step for an elderly person so we are trying to make it easier to make an informed decision. Although many homes have potential residents for a look round and a meal, we are going to take this much further. After five days, most people would have enough information to know whether life in a Morley care home would suit them’.
Springfield House is a small friendly care home in Morley, near Leeds. There are 22 residents living there, with NVQ trained carers available 24 hours a day to meet the needs of all the residents. The cook, who has worked at Springfield House for 22 years, makes excellent well presented meals, which are enjoyed by all. Residents are encouraged to live as they want to. They use their rooms, which can be decorated to suit them, as they wish, and there is plenty of space in lounges and dining rooms to chat to new friends or enjoy activities.
This Morley residential home is unusual in that everything is included in their fees. For example, chiropody and hairdressing are free of charge. Trips out are also included. There are many interesting activities - in April the high point of the month was the Royal Wedding party. The clutch of hen’s eggs that have hatched into cute chicks is giving a lot of fun and interest to the residents. A holiday is planned in the Yorkshire Dales in June and all residents who are well enough will be able to go. Springfield House welcomes all visitors to their Morley care home, whether it is for a quick visit or an extended stay.
