As part of the continuing growth strategy of expanding their licensed products offering, Concrete Results Inc. purchased the assets and intellectual property of Cebu Stone Inc. based in Wabash, Indiana on April 9, 2011. This marks the second acquisition of an innovative exterior concrete cladding and veneer product in the last eleven months, following the purchase of Castia Stone of Portland, Oregon last May.
Cebu Stone is a thin, lightweight concrete wetcast veneer that replicates the look of traditional dry cast architectural split face block. Cebu Stone’s patented and innovative Accu-Tab-Set technology insures the cladding is quickly and accurately installed, providing a classic and durable masonry exterior. Cebu Stone has been used by a large number of leading national firms to update and retrofit their existing retail locations and commercial buildings as either a full facing or as a wainscot. Cebu Stone is easily installed by experienced masonry, stucco, and stone veneer contractors while significantly reducing the time to complete the installation. Cebu Stone’s creator and President Greg Pownall will continue to provide his expertise and sales support on a consulting basis to assist in the continuity and growth of the business.
Manufacturing operations for Cebu Stone have been relocated to Clarksville, TN and has already started to produce and supply Cebu Stone throughout the USA. In order to reduce shipping costs and further increase the cost benefit of Cebu Stone products, Concrete Results will also license the Cebu Stone product line and technology to manufacturers of wet cast and stone veneer products in both the United States and Canada.
Mark Muratore, President of Concrete Results stated “The addition of Cebu Stone to our licensed product offering perfectly complements our earlier purchase of Castia Stone. Cebu Stone is solidly positioned within the commercial, retail, and government remodeling market, while Castia Stone directly addresses the needs of the residential community in both new and remodel construction. Both products provide a beautiful, innovative, and architecturally pleasing solution to most construction projects."
Cebu Stone is actively seeking new dealers and distributors along with qualified wet cast producers interesting in licensing the product for local manufacturing. “It’s a huge win for everyone involved in the process including the producer, distributor, installer, contractor, designer, and building owner,” said Muratore.
